About Section
Hello! My name is Sarah Svehla. I attended school at Nacogdoches ISD where I developed my passion for music. From that point I studied at Kilgore College earning an Associate’s Degree with honors and eventually continuing my degree at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. From there, I earned my Bachelors of Music with an emphasis in Music Education and a Minor in History. During my collegiate career I had the wonderful opportunity to teach lessons to students in the community in which I lived. While there I served as the Principle Bass Clarinetist for the Lamar University Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. I completed my student teaching experience at Hardin- Jefferson ISD where I worked with Middle and High School students. It was so inspiring to watch all of the students grow and develop their passions. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of getting to learn under so many inspiring professionals and I hope to instill a love for music in the future generations.
